British pop superstar, Rita Ora releases her new single, “Body On Me” (featuring Chris Brown) on 7th August.  The sultry track beautifully melds their two distinctive voices to underscore the theme of instinctual desire.  The video for “Body On Me,” which will premiere on Aug 21, was shot in L.A. earlier this summer and directed by Colin Tilley (Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar).

“Body On Me” is a key release for Rita, as well as being the single to launch her forthcoming album, it will be her debut single release in the the U.S. Rita has already scored a top three on the Billboard Hot 100 as a featured artist on Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” but this will be Rita’s first solo release there. Rita’s as yet-untitled album will be released in the UK in November.

“On this second album I've put my blood in it, literally,” explains Rita.”The album was my resurrection. I got myself together. I had amazing people around me. I went back to the drawing board and started writing with them.”

Those people included Ed Sheeran, Prince, Diplo, Dr. Luke and Chris Brown. Rita has chosen her collaborators carefully; every one of them teaches her something about the type of artist she wants to represent. “So this album I wanna be the rockstar that I always was,” she says, with a warrior-like spirit. “I have to fight every day. I still have to grind.”

Rita will embark on a tour of U.S. markets this summer to promote “Body On Me” starting in San Francisco on August 25th at The Independent.  The tour will make stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, DC and wrap up in Chicago on September 17th at Lincoln Hall. In addition to music, her first love, Rita recently began a successful acting career.  She earned a role in the Hollywood blockbuster Fifty Shades Of Grey and is currently co-starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the critically acclaimed Southpaw.  Rita recently appeared on the hit show Empire where she performed “New York Raining,” her duet with Charles Hamilton.  The consummate entrepreneur, Rita is currently collaborating with Adidas, working with Rimmel London and the newest judge on ITV1’s top rated show The X Factor.
